The Achivement Gap

1.) What do you think causes the achivement gap?
Students are not trying to their full potentionl.

2.)What can students do to close the gap?
-Work to their full potentionl
-The students should believe in their selfs.
-Push their slefs a little harder

3.)What can parents do?
-Put their childern in better schools
-Get inviloved with their school work and what thier learning
-In role their childern in schools at an early age!

4.)What should teachers/schools do?
- Schools should get teachers who care if their students learn or not.
- Teachers should have better expectations
-Schools should also offer better classes

1.) What do you think of Mr.Hayden????
I think he is a great leader and I admire him because he went through a lot during the Vietnam war he said some of us don't reconizewhat all the people who fought did for us.

2.) Tom Hayden does not think of himself as a civil rights leader. Do you see him as one? Why or why not?
I do see him like a civil rights leader because like all the other leaders he not only thinks about him self but about others too!!

3.) Tom Hayden feels that leaders are not as important as the hundreds or thousands of people behind them. What does he mean by that?

He means that the people are

more important then the leaders because most of the time the attention goes to the leader.

1.) Hello well my morning is going pretty good. I am gonna go to a party this weekend i hope its fun. But really i want to go christmas shopping cause i have to go buy Saul's, my mom's , my dad's, my sister's and all the other people.

1.) This sign means a lot because its telling me to think before I do thing that I know I'll regret. I'm guessing your making us write about it because of what happen yesterday with Araceli. In this situation I was really upset with her and the people who gave her that because they put her life in danger. It affected her parents I know that. Probably they are really disappointed with her....And I am too. I know I ant the grates friends but it affected me too just seeing her in the bed coming out of class passed out with the paramedic made me feel guilty for not telling an adult what was going on. Maybe if I would just told someone she wouldn't of gone to the hospital. I have always told her that its not good for her and I tell that to everyone who I know drinks bad for your health and it doesn't help. You might forget about everything for a while but then it could go to the next level like yesterday. I thought I would have it under control and that I could help her at least get her through the day but I was wrong and for that I'm mad at myself and upset of course with her. I hope she gets better and realizes that drinking isn't going to help with anything. And that she learns from her mistakes!! I personals learn from others mistakes. Yesterday I learned a good lesson.(IF YOU ONE SOMEONE IS IN DANGER TELL SOMEONE BEFORE ITS TO LATE!!)
